FAQ
Is there a contract? What is the cancellation notice period?
Yes. When you first sign up, you commit to an initial 3-month term. After that, your agreement continues on a month-to-month basis. Either party can cancel at any time by giving 30 days’ written notice.
You’re welcome to continue using the space until the end of your current billing cycle.
When is my first payment due?
Your first payment is due on the day you sign up. However, because your direct debit takes a few days to set up, the payment will usually leave your account around 6 days after you book your space.
How much will my first payment be?
Your first payment will be calculated pro rata - meaning you’ll only pay for the remaining days of the month from the date you sign up.
When will future payments be taken?
All invoices are created on the 24th of each month for the following month. Your payment is collected by direct debit around 3 working days later and usually takes a couple of days to clear. This means we receive payment on or around the 1st of the month.
As per your contract, payment must be cleared by the 1st of the month.
What happens if my payment fails?
If your direct debit payment fails, we will be charged a fee by our payment handler, which will be passed on to you. In addition, interest will be charged at 4% above the Bank of England base rate, calculated daily from the due date until the payment is made in full.
Is my vehicle insured? Can I take my insurance off the vehicle?
Yes, your vehicle is covered by our insurance policy while it is in storage with us. You are also welcome to remove your road tax and insurance from the vehicle while it is stored.
Do I need to leave a set of keys?
Yes. As part of our contract, you must leave a set of keys for your vehicle (and any other vehicles you may store on site). This is for the safety and care of your vehicle. If we need to move your vehicle in an emergency, or to gain access to vehicles or spaces behind it, we must be able to do so quickly and safely.
Are keys left on site?
No. For security purposes, keys are not kept on site. If you need a key to be handed over, we require 24 hours’ notice. For convenience, it’s always easier if you can leave a spare set with us. We also offer a key cutting service, so if it’s helpful, we can arrange for a spare key to be cut for you.
What security do you have on site? Is it secure?
We guarantee that we are the most secure storage facility — nobody has invested in security to the level that we have. For obvious reasons, we cannot disclose every detail, but we can confirm that we have:
• A 24-hour on-site security guard
• A gated and permitted fenced site
• Monitored CCTV
• A monitored alarm system on all warehouses and compounds
…plus many additional measures to ensure your vehicle is fully protected.
How many vehicles can you store?
Our facility has a maximum capacity of just over 500 vehicles.
Can I reserve a space?
Yes, you can reserve a space, but it must be paid for on a monthly basis — we do not hold spaces for free. This is because our facility is usually at full capacity, and we need to ensure that spaces are available for paying customers. If we were to hold spaces indefinitely without payment, it would mean turning away customers who are ready to move in, which simply isn’t a sustainable business practice. For this reason, any reserved space must be paid for in full.
Can I park another car in my space?
Yes, as long as the vehicle has been listed on your forms when you signed up. If you’d like to change a vehicle or add another one to your list, this must be done in writing.
